AC Association Croquet

All EnglandThe Club runs a qualifying tournament for the All England Handicap Championship which is open to all club members. The finalist(s) will qualify for the Area Finals, to be played over the weekend of 17-18 August at [tba]. Winners from the Area Finals proceed to the National Finals, this year to be held over the weekend of 21-22 September at Blewbury.

Games will be 26pt games played off full bisque handicap to base 10 using current handicap (no maximum) on the day the game is played, and played preferably untimed, or to a time limit agreed between the players (minimum 3 hours; 3.5 hours if no agreement).

Format: simple knock-out.

The semi-finals should be played by SUNDAY 21 JULY in order to qualify for Area Final entry. The third place play-off between the two losing semi-finalists should also be completed by then if one of the winning semi-finalists is unavailable for the Area Final. The final must then still be played to determine the fourth semi-finalist in the club handicap competition.

UPDATE: there were too few of the entrants of this competition declaring themselves both available and willing to play at an Area and National Final for the club to qualify for any places at an Area Final, so this year it is no longer an All England Handicap qualifying competition but simply an internal club tournament.

Players are responsible for contacting their opponents to arrange games.

Results of the games will be updated here from time to time.

Players must enter results on their handicap cards as usual.
