GC Golf Croquet

This is a two-day Golf Croquet match event run by the World Croquet Federation as one of the qualifying heats for clubs in the GC European Clubs League. Clubs are from any European country whose national governing body is a member of the WCF. This year it is the League's fourth season.

This year the other heats will be held in Czechia, England, Germany, Greece (for the first time), Ireland, Latvia and Spain.

The heat format is an all-play-all block of four teams, who each play a 4-a-side match against each of the other 3 club teams. Each match comprises 2 doubles games and 8 singles games, all level play. Two points are awarded for each match won, or one point for a drawn match. A club team may have 4 to 6 players, with a team of 4 selected for each match.

The heat winner is the team with the most points. If two or more teams are tied on points then the winner is the team with the most singles wins across all matches. If still tied then the winner is the team with the best net hoops score amongst those teams still tied.

The winning team from each heat qualifies for the Finals weekend, to be played at Carrickmines in Ireland on 9-11 October.

Last year 45 club teams participated in heats played at Roehampton, Phyllis Court, Compton and Newport in England, at Vigo and Novo Sancti Petri in Spain, and at Carrickmines in Ireland, Südwest in Germany, Telc in Czechia, and Ikskile in Latvia. The 2025 Grand Final between the heat winners was played at Sussex County in England, and was won by Roehampton.
