2009
Thur 8 October Watford is honoured to have one of its club members, Quiller Barrett, elected as President of the national Croquet Association to succeed Bernard Neal. The result was formally declared at the CA AGM on 17th October, when Quiller took up his office. Quiller is also a former Chairman of the CA.
Sat 12 September Frances Skinner won the National Finals of the Grass Roots Golf championship, the third time a Watford player has won it in the last 5 years.
Sat 5 - Sun 6 September Geoff Johnson won the AC All England Handicap Championship Area Finals held at Wrest Park, and proceeds to the National Finals held at Roehampton on 19-20 September.
Tue 26 May Notwithstanding some notable individual game wins, the Herts team failed to stay up in Division 1 of the Inter-Counties Championship following promotion at the end of the 2008 championship, and were relegated back to Division 2 for 2010. The team members were Simon Hathrell and Ian Parkinson of Watford, plus Richard Smith (captain), Duncan Hector, David Tutt and George Woolhouse.
Sun 24 May The Herts team, with Mark Homan as team captain, won the Anderson Shield for the EACF county 'B'-level championship for the third consecutive year.
Mon 11 May Watford successfully staged its first Open Golf Croquet 'B'-Class Tournament.
2008
Fri 5 September The second edition of the club Newsletter was issued to all club members. A copy is available for download here (PDF format, 124kb.)
Tue 27 May The Herts team, which included Ian Parkinson of Watford, came second in Division 2 of the Inter-Counties Championship, and Herts are promoted to Division 1 for 2009. The other team members were John Gibbons, Duncan Hector, Paul Stephenson, Richard Smith, David Tutt and George Woolhouse.
Sun 25 May The Herts team, which included Mark Homan as team captain and Simon Hathrell of Watford, won the Anderson Shield for the EACF county 'B'-level championship for the second year in succession.

2007
Sun 23 September Simon Hathrell won the 2007 East Anglian Croquet Federation tournament 'A'-block Advanced for the previous year's club champions.
Sun 23 September Watford won the EACF Golf Croquet League Championship play-off final against Enfield, completing the East Anglian Golf and Association Croquet league double for 2007.
Sat 22 September Watford won the EACF Association Croquet League Championship play-off finals at Wrest Park against Norwich and Colchester South to become the East Anglian champions for the third consecutive year.
Sat 8 September Nick Archer won the National Finals of the Grass Roots Golf championship, the second time a Watford player has won it in the last 3 years.
Sat 1 September Watford won the last league match of the season against Wrest Park 4-2 to become the Beds & Herts League champions for the third consecutive year.
Thur 30 August Watford won the Golf Croquet match against Wrest Park 11-7 to become the 2007 East Anglian Croquet Federation West Area champions with a 100% record of wins in the season.
Sat 26 - Sun 27 May Mark Homan (as team captain) and Simon Hathrell of the Watford Croquet Club provided half of the Hertfordshire team that won the 2007 East Anglian county 'B'-level championship - the 2007 Anderson Shield.
2006
Sat 23 September Watford won the the East Anglian Croquet Federation club championship for the second year in succession, beating Bury St. Edmunds and Norwich in the regional play-off finals at Hunstanton. 
Sun 10 September The 2006 East Anglian Croquet Federation 'B'-level Advanced tournament for the previous year's club champions was won by Simon Hathrell. 
Sat 9 September Watford drew the last league match of the season against Enfield 3-3 to become the Beds & Herts League champions for the second consecutive year.
Sat 22 - Sun 23 July The 2006 Watford Open Handicap Tournament was won by Arthur Reed. 
Wed 5 April The Mayor of Watford, Dorothy Thornhill, visited the club to open the third lawn. This event also commemorated the occasion seventy years earlier when the Mayor opened the second lawn in 1936.
2005
Sat 1 October Watford won the 2005 Beds & Herts League for Association Croquet, and went on to win the East Anglian Croquet Federation championship. 
September John Walker won the National Finals of the Grass Roots Golf championship.
Fri 22 - Sun 24 July The 2005 Watford Open Handicap Tournament was won by Simon Hathrell.
