AC Association Croquet

In response to an improving profile of handicaps amongst club members, this year the minimum handicap for entry into the High Handicappers competition is reduced from 16 to 12.

Matches will be 14-pt games played off full bisque handicap to base 10 using current handicap on the day the game is played, and to a time limit agreed between the players (2.5 hours if no agreement).

The competition is being played this year as a 5-round Swiss tournament. Players are paired with a designated opponent in each round, and that game must be played by the given deadline (4 or 5 weeks available per round). Both players are responsible for scheduling their game with their opponent.

The winner will be decided first by number of games won, then by number of wins against those tied followed by net points difference in all games played. In the event that any games remain unplayed by the close, CA Tournament regulation F2(e) will also be applied if necessary to determine the winner.

Results of the matches will be updated here from time to time. They are also shown on the notice-board in the club hut.

Details are provisional pending the 2012 AGM.
