Association Croquet
As a
new arrangement for 2007, the Club Handicap Tournament is being
changed to a multiple-entry knock-out competition and combined
with the qualifying stage of the All
England Handicap tournament in order to produce an overall
Club Handicap champion. (The draws for the All England Handicap
and the internal Handicap Tournament have also been arranged in
such a way as to minimise the number of duplicated games.) The
winner of the qualifying stage of the All England Handicap
tournament becomes the first of the semi-finalists of the
combined competition.
Up to and including
the quarter finals matches will be played as 14-point games off
full bisque handicap to base 10 using current handicap on the
day the game is played. Games will be played to a time limit
agreed between the players (2.5 hours if no agreement).
In the semi-final
and final matches will be played as 26-point games off full
bisque handicap to base 10 using current handicap on the day the
game is played. Games will be played to a time limit agreed
between the players (3.5 hours if no agreement).
Results
of the matches will be updated here from time to time. They are
also shown on the notice-board in the club hut.
